Prepare for Solar

Homeowners over the country are choosing solar because they want to be free of utility companies and their unreasonable demands. Citizens also prioritize green energy and the good of the planet. Join them to reap the reward of energy independence and a safer world for our children.

We will use your energy consumption and bill history to analyze how much electricity you usually need per year. This will help us plan the size and design of your solar systems.

If you own your home and keep it durable and up-to-date, it has a good chance of being suitable for solar. We also consider your local authorities, your roof’s sunshine area, and

The number of solar panels that you need will depend on your usual energy needs per year. Our experienced designer will find the number of panels that keep your home powered through every season.

You can consult the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) to find a list of solar incentives and regulations that apply in your state. Other than that, the 30% Federal Tax Credit applies in all US states.

Yes, a functioning solar system is an incredible asset for a home because it brings energy savings and sometimes even tax rebates. So, this will raise the market value of your home by as much as $15,000.

Installation

Mianro Solar will guide you through every step of your solar installation. Our expert consultant will help you and clear any doubts that you might have. If you have a question after the installation is complete, feel free to reach out to our customer care team and we’ll help you resolve it.

Our solar engineers conduct a site survey on your home, create your solar design and get the necessary permits. Then, they expertly install solar on your roof and make connections to your home outlets. There is a final inspection and approval from the authorities, and then you can start using your solar.

Each solar installation is unique, but here are the most common things Mianro Solar installs.

  1. Solar panels
  2. Inverter
  3. Battery
  4. Mianro Solar monitoring software (For leased solar)

The actual solar installation is usually completed within one or two days. However, the process of applying for permits and approvals can take much longer. Contact us, and we’ll analyze your situation to give you a good estimate.

Our installers have decades of expertise, and they install solar without causing any damage to your roof. We do need to make some holes in your roof to secure the solar, but our experts ensure they are completely water-tight and unnoticeable during your daily activities. If, by chance, we do accidentally cause roof damage, we will cover it under our workmanship warranty.

As per new solar regulations, HOAs cannot prevent you from installing solar energy. However, the laws may differ over states. Even if your HOA allows panels, every community has a different approval process and requirements. Tell us about your HOA and we’ll do our best.

Home Solar

Your solar panels generate DC electricity by using the energy from the sun. Then, an inverter converts it into AC electricity, which is actual usable energy. This goes to your electricity box and then to all your home fixtures and outlets. You can also get a battery that saves extra electricity from your panels when your home doesn’t need it.

Currently, we cannot add additional panels to a solar system that you already have. However, you might get a second Mianro Solar system and agreement. Get in touch with us to discuss your options.

Mianro Solar provides solar batteries to our new customers. If you have an old system and still want a battery from us, get in touch! We will save your information and you’ll be the first to know if we start delivering batteries to existing solar systems.

Home Solar and Battery

A solar battery is a device that integrates with your solar system and saves all the extra energy that your panels generate. This energy is usable later.

Your solar battery jump-starts your home’s devices as soon as your grid shuts off. Mianro Solar also provides high-quality batteries that can prioritize certain loads so that your battery lasts longer. Tesla Powerwall’s “Blink-less” technology ensures that your home smoothly switches to battery power during an outage and your appliances don’t even reset.

Yes. Currently, we only sell batteries with our solar panel systems.

Your home’s energy needs will determine how many batteries you need. We also consider if you just want a battery for outages or need solar to power you every night. The latter will require more batteries.

Your home’s power is still connected to the grid under regular circumstances. A battery only takes you off-grid when the grid is having an outage.

Battery manufacturers usually give you a 10-year warranty on your battery, which may cover maintenance and repairs. You can also opt for a leased solar package to get fully covered maintenance from us.

Finance Solutions - Green Lease

Whether you buy or lease a solar system depends on your unique situation.

A lease is ideal for those looking for a more affordable solar option. You will never have to bother with growth maintenance. However, it means that you don’t own the panels.

Homeowners who purchase solar do so for the federal and independent benefits of owning panels. They are responsible for maintenance, and monthly loan payments are usually higher than those for a solar lease.

Green Lease helps you access solar without needing to purchase a system. We own the system, install it on your roof, and perform check-ups and repairs whenever necessary. You give us a one-time or monthly lease payment and use the solar energy that the panels generate.

Your prepaid solar lease gives you the freedom to use the solar energy generated by the panels. You make one upfront payment and enjoy your peace of mind for the rest of the lease.

Finance Solutions - Solar Purchase

Your solar system cost is highly dependent on your energy needs. However, a typical home usually needs 10 to 13 kWh of energy, which amounts to around $20,000 - $25,000 on an average. Contact us to get an accurate quote suited to your home!

Solar loan financing helps you have all the advantages of owning solar without the huge upfront costs. Just make your monthly payments and enjoy energy independence, federal incentives, and more.

Yes. Loans are a way to purchase solar, so you’ll own your system and get all monetary benefits associated with it.

Solar Electricity Production

Kilowatt-hour is abbreviated as kWh. It is a unit of measuring the amount of electricity something generates or uses.

1 kWh means that the system produces/needs 1000 watt of electricity in one hour. This measurement is used to determine different things like how much electricity your home needs, what your panels provide, battery specifications, etc.

No, your solar panels only produce energy when there is sunlight on them.

Yes, solar panels will still produce electricity when the weather is dark and rainy. This is because even grayish and lower sunlight is enough to induce energy production in your panels. It won’t be as high as your energy on sunny days, but it will usually be enough.

Solar Service Package - Green Lease

Yes, our monitoring team keeps track of your solar production. We collect data regarding the amount of solar the panels generated, and we compare it to weather conditions. If the panels aren’t being as efficient as they should be, we try our best to fix it from our remote position. If that still doesn't get you the best solar efficiency, we will visit your home to take a look at what part of the system went wrong.

Mianro Solar is fully responsible for your Green Lease solar set-up. We will proactively detect issues and fix them without you needing to do anything.

However, if there is still something that seems broken or not as functional as it should be, get in touch with our customer care team. We will resolve it.

Solar panels do not require difficult maintenance. Here are a few simple things you can do to take care of your system.

  • Cleaning

Your panels will gather dust, especially if you live in a duty area. Rain usually takes care of this dust. But if you’ve had dry weather for a few months, just hose down your panels. You can do it from the ground if you have a strong tap.

  • Shade trimming

We make sure there’s no trees shading your panels when we install them. However, they grow back over the years. If your tree branches are putting some of your panels in the shade, trim them off to get maximum solar power.

  • Avoid wiping snow

Sometimes, snow gets stuck to the panel surface. However, forceful wiping will leave scratches on the panel and lower their solar output. Just wait for the snow to loosen and slide away on its own.

Solar Billing & Utilities

You still remain connected to the grid after installing solar panels. So, you’ll still receive an electricity bill at the end of the month. But relax, because it’ll be much lower than your usual monthly costs before solar. This is just the electricity you used when your solar panels were not producing energy in the dark, or when you used more electricity than your original solar plan.

Every home’s solar savings is different. When you get in touch with us for a solar quote, we’ll be able to use your specific energy needs and calculate how much solar can save you in the long or short term.

A Mianro Solar home system and battery will help you prepare for rolling outages and blackouts. Solar energy keeps your appliances and outlets energized even when the grid is down. A battery will help you extend this safety to the night-time as well.

When you’re generating solar energy, there will be sunny days when your panels generate more energy than you need. To avoid wasting this, you can send it to the grid, and they’ll give you a rebate or credit on your utility bill. This is known as net metering, and each utility company has a different net metering policy. Some companies pay you fairly for your help, and others try to take advantage of you. Contact your utility company to get the details on their net metering policy.

Energy credits are an aspect of net metering. Your utility company gives you credits for the excess solar energy you send their way. This energy is deducted from your final electricity bill.

Impact

The carbon footprint of your Mianro Solar panels is 13 times less than that created by the natural gas electricity that the grid uses. Your panels produce zero greenhouse gasses in their lifetime, and the ozone hole continues to get smaller every year because of eco-conscious homeowners like you

Your solar panels will reduce the need for fossil fuels and contribute to cleaner air for everyone. What’s more, solar will help you reduce the grid demand or even add more energy to it via net metering. This lowers the overload or outage chances and protects your entire neighborhood.

Solar Agreement

During our initial discussion, we will give you information about all the agreement types and their individual benefits. You can take your time and ask questions before making a final decision. However, once an agreement is signed, we are not able to change it to another type of financing.

It’s not always necessary. Certain states may require residents to insure their solar system, and in that case you will have to do the same. Even if your state does not make it a requirement, you can still talk to your insurance company. There’s a good possibility that solar is already included in your current insurance policy

You have 3 options for your future after the Green Lease terms are over.

  1. Purchase the solar system at a reasonable value. (This depends on your location.)
  2. Renew your Mianro Solar lease for another year (and so on.)
  3. Mianro Solar uninstalls the system from your home, free of cost.

We are ready to help you when you move. Mianro Solar conducts a smooth Solar Service Transfer to pass solar to your home’s buyers. We help you with paperwork, solar education, and solar real estate valuation.
